About: A project spearheaded by my friend Branson Lowman. Originally started as a two man project with me handling all of the programming and assisting with small design elements. A few months later we picked up a second programmer to help us scale the game to have more than one level. The one sentence pitch for the game is in essence: “Breakout meets Dark Souls”. In more specific terms, the game takes the basic paddle and ball gameplay of a brick breaking game, but instead of breaking bricks the player must defeat a boss enemy. The game consists of a few different levels, each containing a unique enemy that can affect the paddle and ball in different ways. An Android release for the game was planned, along with iOS and PC releases as stretch goals. The creator eventually decided to permanently shelve the idea a month after a basic alpha demo was published.
